Nick Earls is the author of thirteen books, including five young adult novels. 48 Shades of Brown was a Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) book of the year, and his other four young adult novels have all been listed as Notable Books by the CBCA. Five of his novels have become plays and two have been adapted into feature films. Nick Earls was the founding chair of the Australian arm of the international aid agency War Child and is now a War Child ambassador. Terry Whidborne is recognized as one of Brisbane, Australia's most senior award-winning advertising Art Directors. As his interest in illustration grew, he developed a style working with clients such as Vogue, Virgin Blue and many of London's top ad agencies. He was since decided to concentrate on books, film, and animation.
